A while back he came up to me carrying our Super Mario game. Crying and pointing to the red letters and said,"It can't be red."
I said "What? Why?"
To which he said, "Look it's red, and it can't be red! It's always red, see!!"
This went on for a minute. I finally said that I didn't understand. "Why can't it be red?"
He said, "I don't know. I put the disk in and it says, disk cannot be read!!"
Now for my favorite story. When he was 4, he was in pre-school and had a bus pick him up and drop him off everyday. One day, as usual, I went out to meet him. Before he even got off the bus, I could tell the driver was very shaken. She said that he is alright, and there is really nothing to worry about. She said that he says he saw a bee on the bus and that she couldn't find one and that he and everyone else was ok.
As soon as my son got got off the bus, I could tell he was not alright. He was very upset and near tears. He told me that he saw a bumble bee and no one believed him. The bus driver told me again that all the kids were very upset and worried, but she couldn't find or see a bee. To which my son said again, "I saw a bumble bee!!"
He was very upset, but so was the bus driver. I could tell that this wonderful woman had just been through an extremely upsetting experience with a bunch of little kids all scared about getting stung by a bee. My son was not going to give up. He said again with all the force his little body had, he said, "I saw a Bumble Bee!! He was following us, and then he turned!!"
I started to smile and tried not to laugh, when I asked," Oh!!! Bumble Bee from Transformers?"
He said, "Yes! and they don't believe me!!" I tried not to burst out laughing when I told the driver that he was talking about Bumble Bee the transformer and that he had seen a yellow sports car!! The driver didn't even smile but looked very much annoyed and said, " OH!! I'm glad everyone is ok!"
She then closed the doors and left. I saw her recently and she still didn't find this experience very funny. I'm sure she has a whole different side to it, but for me I have to laugh!!
To my son: Your little Brother loves you and copies everything you do. You love playing on the Wii and playing outside. If you ruled the world you'd never sleep, you'd watch Scooby Doo and play on the Wii all day long and you'd eat mac and cheese, ham and cheese sandwiches, cheese pizza and ice cream for every meal. You bring laughter and joy to our family and I can't imagine our lives without you in it.
Happy Birthday !!!!
