Once it got dark, they started watching Star Wars IV. The boys loved it
and ate tons of food. Then they ditched the movie to act it out. It
was so fun (and much better than watching the movie) to watch a dozen
boys running around in the biggest spontaneous nerf war.

was so fun (and much better than watching the movie) to watch a dozen

Listening to them talk to each other was also a highlight.
One comment that made me laugh in a semi-worried way was "Hey, Collin,
slit my throat."
One boy wasn't sure he wanted to try a scone seeing he'd never had one
before. He ended up eating at least 3.
I knew it had been a success when one boy (with a gigantic smile on
his face), as he was eating another scone and loading his plate up
again with more candy, exclaimed," I think I'm going to puke!" Another
boy with equal excitement and pure joy said '"Yeah. Me too!!"
So after a night of obstacle courses, night games, movie in the back
yard, the biggest nerf battle, cake and ice cream, lots of great gifts
and more food than even many 10 year old boys can eat, they all went home
with full tummies, smiles on their faces and no energy left (I hope).
The parents all went home with a goodie bag of even more candy and
kids who honestly couldn't go to sleep. I had a really big mess to
clean up but am happy to report no necks were slit and no one puked. Most important my Ninja couldn't stop smiling and that makes me happy.

Ah, boys...they do say the funniest things! I'm sure the parent's appreciated you wearing their little guys out!
