Two of my favorite men just celebrated birthdays and I have to brag about
how awesome they are.

The first is my Son!!!  The day he joined our family is a day I will never
forget.  Partly because he was born 8 minutes after getting to the hospital
and he came all on his own without even a nurse there to catch him.  It was
the first time I did it without drugs and I thought I was going to die!  I
tried to arive earlier, but the nurse told me to stay home until I couldn't
talk through contractions.  I told her I was in labor and this is number 4,
but she said she'd send me home.  So I labored at home until I couldn't talk
through contractions. I've never seen my husband drive so fast!!! Hehehe
The biggest reason for it being one of the happiest days of my life is that
it was the day my amazing son joined our family.  He is smart, sensitive,
silly, very funny, a little shy and I love him. He is a brown/green belt in
Karate and is about to test for his 1st Ban bu belt. If all goes well he
should be a black belt in about 9 months.  Although he is almost a black
belt he couldn't hurt a fly.  He loves horses and the best part of his
Birthday this year was when he got to ride my Sisters horse.  He got to see
the stables and how they take care of the horses.  He was in Heaven!!  He
loved watching his cousin cutting and was very proud to tell everyone what
that is.

I love you!!! Happy Birthday!!!
The second amazing man I want to brag about is my husbands grandfather.  He
just turned 94.   A whole book could be written about this amazing man. He
served in WWII and has some incredible stories of a time in our history that
shaped our country.  He has the best garden.  His apricots are the size of a
peach.   He is the perfect example of self reliance and Christ like love.
He has become a perfect example of what we all need to be more like.  A few
years ago we took our kids to his house and asked him and grandma questions
about their lives.  My kids loved listening to each and every story and
could have stayed for a couple of more hours. Which says a lot because they
can't sit still for an hour at church. We actually went back a few times to
hear more. I'm so grateful that my kids have such a wonderful person to
admire and follow his amazing example.  I love watching Grandpa with my
kids.  I can see the love he and Grandma has for each of our kids and all
his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Each time someone is married or
when someone has a baby they are loved and feel that love from Grandpa and
Grandma. I am truly blessed to have Grandpa in my life.

I love you Grandpa!! Happy Birthday!!!
