First Day of School

When I left to drop off my son at the high school, all my elementary kids were still asleep.

When I got home, this is how I found my 1st grader waiting for me.

My buddy was all dressed from head to toe waiting for me.  He had

his backpack and shoes on.  He was ready to go to school.

He was so excited for his first day of school.  He just couldn't wait.

I then found out later that after we had put him to bed, he got up and got

dressed and slept in his clothes-- shoes and all. Because he sleeps on the top bunk,

I didn't notice the jeans, shoes and backpack!!

I have had to tell him every night when he goes to sleep to take off

his shoes and get into PJ's.  He just wants to sleep in his clothes.

I wish he was that excited about homework!!!

6th, 3rd and 1st grade

My first grader got to meet his teacher on the 1st day. I got to keep him home with me one more day.

that made me happy. I'm going to miss him.
