Happy Birthday to my Little Princess!!!

Fourteen years ago, after an entire month of labor, my 9 pound 5 ounce
little angel with an attitude came into our family.  She was and still is
the best Christmas present I ever got.  I've almost forgiven her for not
coming at Thanksgiving like the doctor promised.

In the last 14 years, I've watched as you have grown up into a beautiful
young lady.  Of course, we did have to go through a few stages I wasn't sure
you or I would make it through.  For example, pulling everything off all the
shelves several times a day, trying to add a master bathroom to your
bedroom, shoving things down the toilet because you hadn't tried flushing
that yet, poisoning you and your Brother and writing "I love you Mom" on all
my walls.  With that one, I didn't know if I should get mad at you or frame
your notes.

You have been far easier than harder like when you started sleeping through
the night at two weeks and when you were totally potty trained at 24 months.
If I told you something once you'd remember it for life.  That made it easy
to teach you your alphabet, but hard when I promised you anything.  (I know
I still owe you ice cream from when you were three.)  Now that you are a
teenager, I'm grateful you haven't pierced, expanded or tattooed anything.
As far as I know, you haven't had any secret boyfriends-- although you have
had marriage proposals.  Your first in second grade.

You are a very smart, sweet, kind, hyper, loving, friendly, spontaneous,
obedient and considerate person.  I know you love your Father in Heaven and
want to follow our Savior.  You are such a good example to me and our
family.  I love you and feel very blessed to have you in our eternal family!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS!!!

  1. i lurve her, too. she is, by far, one of the prettiest (inside and out) girls i have even known. and i love that she let's me have her bedroom to sleep in anytime i visit. and i love how she used to say "chaw-dut" cake. but most of all, i love that the very first time i met her she came right up to me and gave me a hug - she knew who i was, cause you told her about me before we met. love you, girl!
